BEFORE Kitchen is small and lacks counterspace and storage for big cooking extravaganzas.Homeowner did not like heat register and large bulk head above cabinets separating kitchen and family room.BEFORE View of eating area adjacent to kitchen. Doorway was closed off and wall in family room was moved to expand footprint of kitchen. AFTER Ceiling in kitchen was raised to 9 feet and unsightly bulk head was creatively turned into niches for art pieces. What was once an eye sore is now a focal point. AFTER Island can accomodate multiple cooks and diners. AFTER Full suite of GE Monogram appliances. AFTER Loving this area! The homeowner can enjoy a latte while thumbing through her favorite recipes at the cookbook center.
